about

After the national release of their debut album “Sport”, Brisbane Electro-punkers Re:Enactment continue the party by releasing their new single “Scraps,” the 4th lifted from the album. “Scraps” is an upbeat, sing-a-long dance track packed into 4 minutes & 2 seconds of head-nodding electronica goodness.

“Scraps was written whilst Re:Enactment were stuck at home during the 2011 Brisbane Floods. We Were putting the finishing touches on our album “Sport” and came up with this late addition” - Jim

Re:Enactment have received significant play from community stations FBi Radio (Sydney), 4zzz (Brisbane), and national broadcaster Triple J (Home & Hosed, Arvos, Weekends) & their album was also recently reviewed in Mess + Noise.

"Equally modern and nostalgic, Scraps is one of the slickest examples of Re:Enactment’s sinewy electronic pop. It’s got a killer chorus and synth tones to lose yourself in. Well overdue, this could be the one that sees them cross over."
Chris Harms - (Rave Magazine)

“These are just danceable pop songs with a yen for experimental flourishes along the way.”
Doug Wallen – (Mess + Noise)

about

Since 2007, Re:Enactment have become a staple live band in Brisbane with a reputation for bringing the party in a Dance-Rock ... more fashion as a key member of the excellent DIY collective LoFly Records (Mr Maps, Nova Scotia, Toy Balloon). Re:Enactment’s sound is punchy, driving electro-punk reminiscent of bands like Soulwax meets Yeasayer meets Phoenix. less
